On February 27th, Friendship Technical Preparatory Academy hosted a Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) career day. Vice Principal Mays reached out to Tipper about finding some young engineers to come speak on a panel. Tipper recruited some of his colleagues from his job to join in. Tipper moderated the opening panel before breaking up the group of 80 students among the panelist for a smaller session of discussion. The other panelist were Jason Merritt, Ellwood Lane, Joel Hall, Amani Foster, Dr. Leon White, Dawn Hedgepath, Bianca Brandveen and Nefretti Nessar. The group effectively communicated their experiences while going through school and as a working professional in engineering.
