I, along with 26 other victims of mass school shootings in America, teamed up with the New York Magazine/The Intelligencer to bring forth our voices towards advocating for gun control. 14 years later, I’m still dealing with the physical, mental and emotional pains of my injuries. However, God uses pain to push us to purpose. With the temperature dropping, and me getting older, causing more pain, I have a lot of purpose to get to.
This article took on a whole life of its own going viral. I figured the Parkland High School students as the most recent (at the time the article was in works), that they would get most of the attention. But here I am, pictured and being quoted on the Larry O’Donnell MSNBC show. God will still use you even when you think your testimony isn’t as relevant as others. #TIPTalks
