The Male to Female Youth Empowerment forum was an event hosted by Former USA Olympic Sprinter Mike Walton through his education foundation, The Mike Walton Foundation, Inc. The focus of the forum was to talk to the students on Friendship Tech Prep Academy about overcoming obstacles and using their education and gifts to make it in life.
The second half of the forum featured Derek, Mike, Etan and Tipper in a panel discussion speaking on recent events such as the “Black Lives Matter’ Movement in response to the two non indictments by Grand Juries in Ferguson, MI and New York. The Youtube video below captures a segment of the forum.
This event could not have happened with out the cooperation of the Faculty and Staff of Friendship Tech Prep Academy located in Washington, D.C.
