Tipper was invited to speak at the STEM C^2 Research Summit at Bergen College, in northern New Jersey on April 17, 2015. The summit matched STEM professionals with STEM students allowing for intellectual dialogue about what is needed to be successful in the STEM industry today. Tipper was allowed an opportunity to share how he became interested in engineering and the difficulties he faced in the process of becoming an engineer with the aspiring STEM graduates.
